Kre8tors Blog Hop – September ‚Sympathy‘

Premiere! Heute bin ich das erste Mal beim Kre8tors Blog Hop dabei. Das ist eine Gruppe von SU-Demos rund um den Globus, die einmal im Monat einen Blog Hop starten. Und da mische ich ab heute mal mit!

Today is my first time attending the Kre8tors Blog Hop. Every month there’s a blog hop with a special theme. And starting from today …. I’ll show you some (hopefully) inspiring projects, too.

Diesen Monat ist das Thema ‚Sympathy‘ … wörtlich übersetzt ‚Mitleid/Mitgefühl‘. Leider musste ich einige Trauerkarten in der letzten Zeit werkeln. Keine nahen Menschen, die gegangen sind, aber trotzdem bewegt mich das immer sehr. Hier ist eine der Karten:

This month theme is ‚Sympathy‘ . These cards are not easy to make, especially when you knew the person very well. But even when I didn’t know the person, I always feel deeply touched when I have to make these kind of cards. Unfortunately I had to make some the last weeks. This is one of them:

Bei der Karte habe ich auf einen flüsterweißen Kartenrohling eine Mattung in anthrazitgrau geklebt. Darauf kam ein Bogen der neuen Maschendraht-Akzente. Die nächste Lage entstand aus schiefergrauem Farbkarton, der zuerst mit dem Prägefolder Wellpapier geprägt wurde und anschließend mit Sprenkeln versehen wurde. Dafür habe ich einen Stampin‘ Spritzer im Verhältnis 1:4 mit der neuen Glanzfarbe Frost White und 70%igem Isopropylalkohol befüllt. Aus seidenglanz Farbkarton wurden die Elemente aus den Framelits Formen Winterbouquet gestanzt. Die Etikettenmattung ist wieder anthrazitgrau. Der Schriftzug wurde in anthrazitgrau gestempelt, er stammt aus dem Stempelset Blühende Worte.

I started with a normal card in whisper white. The first layering I made with cardstock in basic grey. Next layer was the new chicken wire element from the autumn/winter catalogue. For the following layer I dry embossed some cardstock in smoky slate with the new folder ‚corrugated dynamic‘. After that I put some splashes with a Stampin’Spritzer on it. The Stampin‘ Spritzer was filled with Shimmer Paint Frost White and Isopropanol 70% (got that in a pharmacy) in a mix ratio 1:4. The die cut elements are from the framelits frosted bouquet. The layering of the label was made from cardstock in basic grey. The quote was stamped again in basic grey – it’s from the set Flourishing Phrases.
